Does AOL block port 25?

AOL has recently began to block port 25. What does this mean for you, our customers? This means that you will no longer be able to use our Outgoing SMTP server to send mail if you connect with AOL. As a solution, AOL is allowing it's customers to use their Outgoing mail server and Outgoing mail port. Follow the steps below to make the needed changes.

  1. Open your mail client
  2. Navigate to the email account properties. (This varies depending on which type of email application you use)
  3. Find the Outgoing SMTP server and change it to:

    smtp.aol.com

Note: You do not need to change the Incomming POP server.
